Emelia May
Emelia knew from the age of 4 that she wanted to be in theatre. That and be a marine biologist. Only one of her dreams has come true. Guess which one. Now 21 years old, she is heavily involved with singing and acting. She currently performs with, and is the Secretary of, the Macquarie University Drama Society, performing in Shakespeare’s ‘As You Like It’, ‘Guards! Guards!’, ‘Brick’, ‘Dr Horrible’s Sing-A-Long Musical’ and several comedy revues.
Emelia has had vocal training in classical, jazz and contemporary styles, getting the opportunity to sing with such talents as Tina Arena, Human Nature and Gondwana Voices as a chorister for the Sydney Children’s Choir for three years. She has also provided vocal talent for many radio plays over the years for Radio Northern Beaches’ Radio Players , and recently featured on Deborah Cameron’s ABC Radio show.
Her experience in short films includes acting in a Channel V ad, doing a number of comedy skit shorts and being Assistant Executive Producer for up-and-coming film production company Whistleworks. Emelia is excited to be travelling to Scotland to perform as a princess, as she hopes her red hair will be accepted by their culture and possibly win her the heart of an actual prince.
