Matthew Grant
Matthew is a Brighton based improv comedian who is a co-founder and performer in one of the UK’s leading Improvised Comedy groups, ‘The Noise Next Door’. Over the last two years the troupe have enjoyed critical acclaim and growing audiences, performing to sell out crowds at the Bath, Oxford, Brighton and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals.
Matthew studied Film at The University of Kent which led to a year working behind and in front of the camera for several mainstream British television shows including onscreen roles in the BBC children’s series ‘Big Barn Farm’. He also featured as one of four contestants in the SKY 1 reality TV show, ‘Whatever!’.
At university he wrote and directed the comedy play ‘Radio Mike’ as well as starring as Billy Bibbit in ‘One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest’, which lead to him being individually selected to attend the prestigious National Student Drama Festival. However it is his comedic performance abilities that make Matthew unique. Known for his work in ‘The Noise Next Door’ as the bendy one, critics have commented that “the rubber limbed Matt Grant twists and turns as if he left his bones at home” – Broadway Baby 2009.
